How do I fix what if my phone shows “No SIM Card” after switching Korea SIM Card in my Korea travel?

Hi there,
Today, I'd like to look over one of the problems that may occur when you switch into Korea SIM Card on your cell phone for your Korea trip, which you can make your Korean trip more beautiful and special.

Rarely “No SIM Card” message appears on your phone screen thus you are not able to operate your phone. 

If these messages appear on your cell phone, you can make sure that No SIM Card is caused due to following possibilities.
1. Did you insert the SIM card properly?
2. Is the network supported by the mobile phone the 4G Lte bands?
3. Is the SIM card damaged or defective?
4. and etc,

KT Network supports the 4G LTE frequency as follows:
– 4G band : Band1 (2100MHz),Band3 (1800MHz)Band8 (900MHz)
– 3G band : HSDPA 2100MHz/HSDPA+
– TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE band Not Support

You can simply check your phone's network bands at  >> search >> NETWORK section.

Some of the important steps that you need to check for are as follows: 

  1. Open tray with the help of paper clip or SIM ejector.
  2. Take out SIM card.
  3. Put the SIM card back and close the tray.
  4. Check whether your cellular data settings is set ON or Not and LTE mode is set ON or not.

  • -  iphone : Visit Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data

  • -  Android phone : Visit Setting > Mobile Network > Data Network

  • 5. If Not working, Borrow a different phone.
  • -. Power off different phone and put the SIM card.
  • -. Power on phone and then check if it will work to check whether the SIM is damaged or not.
